Frequently Asked Questions

What level of surface preparation will my project get?
We follow the Painting Contractors Association (PCA) P14 standard, which defines four levels of surface preparation from Level 1: Basic through Level 4: Supreme. Level 2: Standard is the most common level for an exterior repaint on an older building, prioritizing longevity. Level 3: Superior adds more rigorous smoothness standards and is a good level for the exterior of new construction. Your estimator will specify the level in your job specifications.
What happens if the paint fails?
Your work is warrantied against early peeling and chipping. In the unlikely event that your paint were to fail within the warranty period, Graduate Painting would come back and fix the issue for free.
Can you match an existing color?
Yes. Sherwin-Williams' ColorSnap Precision system needs a sample at least the size of a quarter. If the colors are currently on your house, we will take care of the color match in its entirety.
Do you handle rot and carpentry repair?
Yes. We can take care of minor rot and carpentry repair along with your painting project.
